The description is of our office’s contribution in the international competition of the above project. The planning conception situates all the exhibition areas underground the large square where is situated the museum. The entrances are from the square’s level above through a complex of three dimensional shapes of the David Stars, each of 12 high. The stars are covered with security glass and give light access to the underground areas from above. Since the major part of the museum is underground, it leaves a wide space above for the pedestrians to walk through this sculptures’ park. The distribution of the underground functions is systematic and its geometry offers the maximum flexibility of exhibitions’ distribution and of the visitors’ movement.
