“Ramot” is a new residential quarter in the North of Jerusalem. It was planned and built in 1975-78. The project is located on a slope facing the city. The planning conception of the part of the neighborhood that our office planned (250 housing units) adapt to the orientation and topographic conditions by creating internal streets passages and public open green spaces. Buildings are constructed using concrete and covered with stone. The roofs were covered with terracotta tiles, which broke the monotony of the all stone covered buildings in that area. That neighborhood becomes one of the most attractive in Jerusalem, thanks to a special atmosphere that affected the human perception. The apartments were sold almost immediately.
